Cancel Vehicle Hypothecation

Hello Folks,


I thought to share my experience while submitting Bank No Objection Certificate and cancelling Hypothecation. This process we do to make our vehicle in our name if in case we took Bike/Car loan from Bank.


Your bank will provide you below documents:

1. Original No Objection Certificate (N.O.C.).
2. 2 original copy of Form 35 stamped.

You need to follow below steps in RTO Office to submit N.O.C. for cancellation of Hypothecation:

1. Attach above documents given by Banks to Person-1. Please don't forget to Pin it or staple it.
2. Person-1 will verify and sign it.
3. You need to take that signed document and submit it to Person-2. You also need to pay 100/-.
4. Person-2 will signed it and give you 2 receipt (Original and Copy) of 100/-. Note: Keep both the copy. You need it in below steps.
5. Attach/Staple below documents as you need to sign with RTO officer:
1. 2 copy of 100/- receipts.
2. All Documents given by Banks.
3. Your vehicle insurance xerox.
4. PUC xerox.
5. Staple it and sign it with RTO Officer.
6. Take the RTO Officer signed documents and staple again with below documents and submit it to Person-3:
1. All documents in steps 5 above.
2. Original RC Book. Note: If you have smart card then attach it with separate cover and staple it.
3. (Very Imp) - You need to buy big cover from stationery shop. RTO people will courier your new original RC book or Smart card in this cover. This cover should be readily available at stationery shops near by RTO office. This cover need 5-6 Rajiv Gandhi ticket.
4. Person-3 will verify it.
5. You also need your RC Book or Smart Card xerox copy which Person-3 will stamp it. This you act as your original RC/Smart card till you get your updated RC or Smart Card.
